Victorian Townhouse, Richmond
Our clients originally asked us to help them with a basement kitchen which was on different levels and was not making the most of the space. Along with an architect we reconfigured the whole of the lower and ground floor. The small staircase down to the basement felt pokey, so we removed it and installed a wine cellar in the stairwell. We then introduced a contemporary minimal staircase from the sitting room down to the new spacious kitchen. The whole house was refurbished, including the two small bathrooms on the upper levels.
